Get to know Christian
I hold a BA in Communications and an MFA in Writing. I'm a hungry writer, unafraid of any story or beat. Though my favorite genres are journalistic pieces on the marginalized and personal/memoir essays on topics of race, culture, faith, and identity.
Â
I’ve been garrulous since childhood, writing stories and reading them out loud to an audience of family. I was the child who had to have her desk moved to the hallway and the kid who thrived during popcorn reading. I come from an extensive line of writers—one of my favorite family photos of my Nana features President Carter, NaNa has a camera in her hand while engaging him in conversation. I spent much time in the newsroom, too, while my mother beat deadlines and broke stories. Some could argue that I inherited the love for wordsmithing. I say I was destined to write. So, from my pen, I've never departed.

I'm happy you found your way to my corner of the internet. I hope you stay a while.
